I like how you gain exp by completing task and quest instead of grinding over 1000's kills.. Other then that it seems weak in content but it is just beta.

Only 10 levels...Jem will get there by ( PM of release day ;)
I was not a PnP freak but I'm looking foward to this title. More so than Vanguard.
I started playing EQ a bit before Luclin about the time people say EQ went bad.
They like to talk about the good old days....of having to sit on your ass for 2 hours because you had no mana and regen sucked or when you had to wait for a boat for 30 minutes to get a ride...
I say I like my bells and PoP portals :)

I was done with EQ just shortly after Velious came out. Got hook on a web base game at the time and EQ didn't hold my attention as I was mostley solo play.

As for D&D, yes it is 10 levels, but there is also sub levels I guess. For every level there is 4 sub levels. So in reality there are 40 levels..

Just like Toran said, you gain XP by campaining quests. I think D&D will be more gear for group play as that was how the original D&D was. I don't think you will have your casual player on this game. This will be the die hard D&D freaks that have always love the game for what it was. But the company that is making is also new into MMO. So it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I wouldn't be surpised if it is. If you ever play D&D, it is kinda like that. Your party of 6 walk into the woods and come upon so and so. Or, you find a dungeon and yoou decide to take a look with your party.

I can see each instance being different for everyone also. So no maps are the same as the draw out would be real time when loading. Thus giving a better feel and not knowing where things are. This is how the TSR PC games were set up mostley.

How many played Pool of Radiance? I remember going to Scotts house as he had a PC then and I didn't watching him play this game. I remember he finaly beat the dragon at the end with his Rogue with a backstab of like 200 points and killing it. We were like..HOLY CHRIST!!!

There are 10 levels but 4 ranks per level. So it is actually like 40 levels. There are overland areas and instances from the article I read In PC-Gamer. The gamme looks very interresting and should be out before Vanguard.
