anyone ever heard of an mmorpg completely closing its doors?

AC was actually a nice game...one of the ones that came out at the same time EQ did way back when and did pretty well. I played it from quite a while. AC2 was Turbines answer to the next generation from AC. Unfortunatly, it didn't come close to AC. I guess I would have to say it looked more like WoW but without the cartooniness of it. Anyway, it didn't do very welll at release and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Turbine is working on LOTR online. It should be a huge money maker.
