And so the blame game begins......

I saw this article on CNN and couldn't believe what I read, the state goverment told the Red Cross to not go in, but instead wait?..... It's sad really, but what can a person expect from the most corrupt state goverment in the union /shrug

This is the first time in decades a major city was hit with a natural disaster on this large of a scale. Hopefully agreements can be reached between the States and Federal programs, so that a command hierarchy can be established prior to any assets moved into the region.

There's a perfectly good one, it's called the ICS (incident command structure). If they're not using the ICS, WHY are they not using the ICS?

Does someone need to go start kicking generals in the head until our own damned Military and State responders learn to use something developed during the CA wildfires of a few years back, where nobody could decide who was "chief"? *grrr*.... these people vex me.

Yes, but it's at the state level...I think to much focus is being shifted to the federal level because its more news worthy.

The state fucked up in thier planning, plain and simple, as far as I see it. People forget that we are a FEDERAL democracy and always want to blame the fededral goverment for state problems, but in reality most the responisbility actually lies with the state goverments.

The National Guard is the perfect example...its ran at the state level, not the federal level. Only time the federal level can get involved with them is to call them for a national need outside their residing state.

Anyways, I love to see the facts get all fucked up and the media run around like a bunch of ants on surgar!

wouldn't surprise me... or everyone's just pointing fingers and people are being stupid... that happens a lot too, especially where both f$ckups and the military are involved... ;p
