I know you guys dont know me, im workin on joining guild and this is first visit to site, however i played Guild wars and i saw someone ask about it on the WoW forum so here ya go.

Guild Wars is alot like First Person Diablo in a MMO enviroment, You chain your way through the game through cities, you dont fight with ANYONE but you and your group when you enter ANY zone that has Mobs to fight. So you either go into a zone solo or you go in with YOUR group, Nothing else. You can have up to 8 skills at your disposel at any time, but i must say that there are countless number of spells and skills to unlock during the game. You get a Primary class and a sub class, your primary class gets a nice little special ability you can train your points in, and your sub class doesnt. You get a certain number of points equal to the level you obtained to train in your skills, the higher the skill the more effective a spell of that skill is. Level 20 is the cap, no higher than that, and no signs of them making it higher. At lvl 20 all there is really do is is arenas where you fight other guilds. Those are the facts that i can think of.

The personal upsides to the game. Great change of pace, having your own zone to yourself is nice, no fighting with anyone unless you want to. And even then youc an have Henchmen (NPCs) that can group with you, not same lvl as you, usually 2 - 4 lvls lower. LOTS of spell diversity, the number of skills and spells associated with each class is just huge, literally wizards get like 300 spells, necs wars all of them just get tons of spells each, and having two classes that can use spells means endless number of spells at your disposel.

The personal downsides. Theres lots imo, so ill keep it kinda short. Only 8 slots, so you have UBER loads of spells but can only use 8 of em at any time. No diversity in character look, all armor looks the same of each class, All wizards look the same ect ect ect. End game content is well...not there. Theres really nothing at all to do in the game at lvl 20, hit lvl 20 game is ALL pvp and that gets old fast.

So thats my own opinion hope it helps. GL and hope to join you guys soon. Even though im really low :( .
